From idea to a useful project brief Muse Platforms | Practical guide | 3 November 2026 A strong brief makes decisions actionable and unresolved questions visible. Name the customer and the job Describe the person using the experience and what they need to accomplish. Begin with a concrete journey before listing features. Choose the first useful scope Separate launch requirements from later possibilities. Explain what is included, optional or still to be decided. Inventory dependencies List content, data, systems, permissions, vendors and people needed for delivery. Give each dependency an owner. Define acceptance Describe observable conditions for completion: a working journey, an agreed output or a documented operating process. Plan for life after launch Decide who owns content, access, support, costs and changes. Give that person a usable handover.
