Choose the buying decision
Start with the problem a customer needs to solve, the alternatives they consider and the criteria that matter. Select category, use-case and comparison questions as well as questions about your own brand.
Capture the answer, not only the score
Use the Ask Hercules workflow to examine ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Keep the exact question, system, date, retrieval context, answer and source links so a colleague can understand the observation.
Separate the signals
A mention names the business. A citation links to a source. A recommendation suggests a choice. A referral brings someone to your website. These are different signals and need different interpretations.
Find the gap behind the answer
Review whether your pages clearly explain the offer, audience, use cases and evidence. Check crawl readiness, business identity, structured data and the facts that make your expertise understandable.
Make one useful improvement
Prioritize an answer asset, a clearer service or product page, better supporting evidence or a structured-data correction. Give the work an owner and define what a useful finished change looks like.
Review before you publish
Keep a person responsible for accuracy, brand voice and approval. Confirm the publishing connection and permissions for your website, then retain a record of what changed and when.
Return to the same questions
Keep a stable core question set to compare scans. Record new questions and changes in the sample. AI answers vary; an isolated response or score movement is not proof of a lasting change.
Connect visibility with business outcomes
Review mentions and citations separately from referrals, qualified enquiries and sales. Agree what can be measured today, what needs additional tracking and which next action the evidence supports.
